Primus will mount their long-delayed tour in homage to Rush, A Tribute to Kings, this summer. The band postponed the dates last year due to the coronavirus pandemic.

A Farewell to Kings in its entirety as well as some of their own music, will now kick-off August 10th in Boise, Idaho, before wrapping in Phoenix, Arizona, in October. Wolfmother will open all of the dates, and the Sword will join in on the festivities at some of them.
Primus Reschedule 2021 Rush Tribute Tour
The trek previously delayed from 2020 to summer 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic now kicks off Aug. 10 in Boise, Idaho, and wraps Oct. 25 in Phoenix. Wolfmother will open the full run, and the Sword will appear for select dates.
All original tickets will be honored; fans not able to attend the new dates can now access a 30-day refund window from their original point of purchase. New tickets, including VIP upgrade options, are available at the band s website.
Due to international travel advisories, Primus were forced to cancel their Toronto show, though they re currently planning a multi-city Canadian leg for 2022. Two other July gigs, in Lafayette, N.Y., and Minneapolis, have also been canceled.

NEW YORK CITY New York City is turning the corner on its coronavirus fight as infections fall and vaccinations rise. But the much-awaited recovery still remains uneven in pockets scattered across the boroughs, according to the city s data.
Mayor Bill de Blasio spent this week in visibly jubilant spirits as the city s average positivity rate fell below 5 percent and stayed there.
He tied the rate Friday 4.45 percent directly to the city s vaccination effort.

COLUMBIA, S.C. The South Carolina Department of Revenue wants consumers to be aware local sales tax rates in three counties in South Carolina will change as of May 1, 2021.
In 2020, voters in Edgefield and Laurens Counties approved a temporary increase in order to pay for projects within the counties. The 1% Capital Project Sales Tax increase will be added to the counties 1% Local Option Sales Tax for the next eight years, unless voters approve another referendum. Those paying an Accommodations Tax in either county will pay 9% beginning May 1.
The taxes do NOT apply to sales of unprepared food.
